There are many streets in the old part of Tauranga city, Gate Pā and Greerton that relate to the battle of Gate Pā.
 

Pukehinahina:............Grassy hill 
Gate Pā:....................The pā (Pukehinahina) at the gate in the fence on the boundary of the mission land
Cameron Road:..........General Duncan Cameron Commander of British forces at the Battle of Gate Pā
Greerton Road:..........Colonel Greer Commanding Officer of the 68th Regiment at Gate Pā
Church Street:...........The street with St George’s church on it
Manley Grove:...........Surgeon Major Manley who won a Victoria Cross at Gate Pā
Mitchell Street:..........Samuel Mitchell who won the Victoria Cross at Gate Pā
Esk Street:.........}
Harrier Street:....}..... HMS Esk, HMS Harrier and HMS Miranda bought troops to the Battle of Gate Pā
Miranda Street:...}
Devonport Road:.......Named by seamen after the Royal Naval base in England
Durham Street:.........68th Regiment The Durham Light Infantry
Monmouth Street:.....43rd Regiment, The Monmouthshire Regiment
Hamilton Street:....... Captain Hamilton Commander of HMS Esk, killed at Gate Pā

Chadwick Road:.......John Chadwick bought a large area of land in the 1870’s and named it Yatton Estate
Mansels Road:..........Miss Lucy Mansel who bought Yatton Estate in 1884
Kent Street:.............The Kent family lived on the corner of Kent Street and Cameron Road 
Maleme Street:.........Airfield Crete 1942
